Upon the Fashion Plateau

He’s almost 80 singing the blues

Songs like fashions to hear and view

 Seeing society change so often

Finds that old ain’t gonna renew

So many young women he saw today

had naked blue trim inscribed legs

Arms and faces drawn upon the skin

Shorts to the crotch, desire it begs

Flowers om blue adorn. Also odd portraits

Of loved ones, animals of all kinds  and human

Heroes they praise that give them thrills

one of the gods, his son or rock star loomin’

Everyone adore those levis for fashion

Girls spend money for those rips those tears

So many folks once labored honestly earning

to see those abrasions become fashion flairs

Cutting your hair like prisoner or military troll

Emblems of servitude now are popular success

Balding heads and combless greasy frizzle

Have taken us away from loving finger caress

Forget not those golden rings and stones

that shine in circles in nose and everywhere

from temples, tongue, teats, lips and brow

pierced on with a newfound pirate-fashion care

And men and women love that baseball cap

Popularized by MAGA and crazy tuneless hip hop

Backwards or forward shouting your ‘team’

Means that ball games are a fashion hop flop

⚜️

So go with out your natural beard men

Proclaiming manhood so you can shave

Forgetting that masculine beauty so fine

Is like a woman with hairspray stiff and grave

So, folks don’t play as a fashion toy

We know  that you can be a toy boy

Or be a natural human being with beauty

All your very own, for that alone is your duty!

Written while Chuck is at the Doctor’s Office

And a parade of dress & pantless women

Tattoo their march across the stage of life

Wear a bell so we’ll know you're commin’!

P.S. my beard is not a hippie fashion regression

but honoring this past scholarly uncle of great

a respected 19th century Germanic immigrant

one of rainbow coalition of American free fate
