MonkeyShines

M’Shines

Oh dear don’t tell me it’s true

Your momma fears, not out of joy

That like a song played on kazoo

You’ll grow up to be a monkey boy

She’s sees that you lack sense

To think a rational thought or two

For which there is little recompense

You seem to belong, caged in a zoo

She is so afraid you might just see

That you will grow up to be an ape

And not live in social harmony

Think that you deserve a fake hero cape

There are too many boys grown up

That love money and power like booze

And from loving life, big dogs not pups

And from intelligent care take a snooze

We see them even in politics of hear

Pontificating like a very queer holy roller

Asking folks to kiss their sacred rear

When they still belong in a stroller

Being pushed by a parent it is true

One who grew up to love and care

Not just wavin’ so red, so white, so unblue

That they have no knowledge of what is fair

So please little guys and gals also

Monkey play can be fun you know

But like eating a happy yellow banana

Always remember to keep your manner

Happy and kind to one another

For every one is sister and brother

Doesn’t matter what color your skin

Remember against one another do not sin

Yes that may be a religious term to say

But don’t forget it is still true today

No matter what your faith or outlook

Always remember life is your “holy” book

So keep the trust in one, you and me

And always know all need to be free

To care and help one another

Yes indeed father mother sister brother
