 Puck’s Giggle of the Day

The sweet satyr fairy Puck aglow

singing of the human romantics below

whispered in sweet Queen Titania’s ear

about the lover’s fashionable gear


He found it quite amusing that

the grown adults with belly fat

dress like children they were when

even before this century did begin


Strange bluejeans had knee tears

as if they were real working men

and they had also as a disguise

hair of varied shapes and dyes


oh yes engaged in eyebrows nose ears

gold and diamond rings I fear

and tattoos of weak rude blue

everyplace that they could paint it too


Puck giggles watching the love man/boy

say with passion to his favorite girl toy

as she watched her telephone in hand

while he was telling her she was so grand


Oh, Puck would not wait to see

to tell King Oberon his repartee

his conclusion of lovers in humanity

“What Fools these Mortals Be”


As he laughed so merrily

Puck that flying honey bee

THE BARD, William indeed did all us see

beloved us, swimming in the love-boat sea!
