O to be a Puppy Again!

Dribble Doggies

Oh, that old slobber hound

flowing with feeling and sound

his life is the fancy tissue box

next to the bed, and watching clock

with white flags, flowers popping up

for another dribble or down, poor pup

so Rude it is handkerchief of paper

seem to be an essential caper

when sneezes come or run right down

the nose or mouth slobber clown

So with compassion we old ones hope

that you’ll see that we are not a dope

nor are we slovenly ancient slobs

who want to see snot in blobs

a, tissue box we thank Kleenex anyway

for keeping those dribbles away

off our chest, chin or clothes too

so much a kind of nasal glue

So here I shout out that is the drill

for the sake of good will, not ill

for this is part of getting older

noses and mouths just get much bolder

It seems like we almost do regress

to that crazy baby childhood mess

So to the gods of snot and funny drops

we no longer call the nasal shots

So be kind to us old folks with tissue

and with cloth, for it not an issue

to find any alarm, for it does us no harm

to reach those boxes with hands & Arms
