Earth Day Birth Day

 


Earth Birth Day

🌎

He imagined dreamlike

that life began

upon the white mountain tops

rain may run down

In short winter days, long night

the flakes begin to fall

floating in gentle fashion

or in storm blizzard passion

standing still up in the cold

piling in slopes to slide

then slowly as gentle warm begins

swims smoothly down the sides

🦋

in rivulets, streams

thundering falls

fervent rushes

or quiet peaceful flows

the waters of heaven come down

to feed forest and field

feathered flocks and human stocks

animals known as wild

or herds of bovine & their kin

and to the rivers fill reptiles

fish and all lovely swimming kings

and queens of that wet domain

insects that crawl and beautifully fly

🦋

how lovely does such flowing time

 fill ponds lakes and puddles

great bays and water mouths

to deep oceans, islands for us all

even from our mothers do we arrive

in wet baths of salty love

to know that growing life

starts in the blue, Sun, Star gold 

rainbows far above

Happy Earth Day, that we Love!
