Waterboy, Waterboy oh sweet joy

where is that hardhead waterboy?

I asked for a glass an hour ago

with fizz, lemon and vodka you know


Has he gone tizzy dizzy again

and drank it all with a friend?

His buddy is the bartender’s child

a personality so meek and mild


Tempted by my servant kind

they both might be hard to find

the last time this happened to me

I found them dancing under that tree


Said they were playing monkey soup

dancing round circles, loop de loop

like human pinwheels round and round

surprised not fallen flat on the ground


oh, but I do love that saucy boy

when we play sailor and say ahoy

filling merriment in our glass

hoping all our troubles will pass


I’ll go and look in five more minutes

maybe he put gin and lime instead in it

If not out I’ll go and see what he

that he got a new playmate for ol’ me


Maybe I should say we?

Making two into we three!
