 Luna Love



Moon Moon what gift so bright

to shine so high almost every night

Except when hidden do dark to be

So very very teasing us secretly

Rising high in our Celestial Sea

What shape each night dark or light

Will you be, always high and free

As you soar in soulful perpetuity?

Your golden shape sometimes hides

Behind the clouds earth supplies

The other night, full and bright

Our global shadow upon you did ignite

A brilliant red gold titillation

To be seen in every state & nation

The tales humans have in their head

Of you sweet luna, sung and said

Enchant us with magical thought

From ancient times without fault

We praise you dear, dear round friend

As you circle us again and again

Much joy you bring upon this earth

A treasure far beyond golden worth

With love we thank you for the blessing

Even when we land strange implements

Upon you surface, or hit golf balls

Like children hanging flags in the halls

Right now glowing behind the hill

Your spring half side peeks at our home

behind the trees those leafless spine

As around our sweet planet you do roam

 

Seeking, peeking with golden  glee

Still sending full love for all who see

The glory of this our planet you grace

We have imagined in crater shadow show

A smile  that seem like a human face

We call you the man in the moon you know

We’ve watch in mind the cow flying over

We send and seek secrets to discover

Earth’s celestial sister/brother!
