Why Me God?

Why Me, God?

Adam, Adam we ask

God along with you

why did He take my rib

what did he do you to?

He seems to have not

put that rib back

unless it was to

sew up the slash or crack

He fashioned a woman

not from dirt, earthy mud

but from smooth soft flesh

graced from heaven above

Maybe he did do it from love

called her Eve, made two boys

the next new creatures

flesh that brought new joys

Until one killed the other

out of jealous love they say

but some how new females

made to earth their way

The father of Adam

or so it does seem did make

more women for new ribs

for all men to placate

Heaven forfeit that they eat

of that awful tasty forbidden fruit

not gain thoughtful knowledge

preferring ignorance as a substitute.

Or a Repressive History of Human Kind

    1. Alas it is so, but thankfully many of us do actually love one another! And love to learn in that tree of knowledge called the Library . . . and the trees in the wood that give us love, fruit and wonder.
