Do Beavers Dance?




A Dam good Party!


Do Beavers dance?

Do Beavers sing?

I saw and heard them

while I was waltzing

with my sweet babooski


Yes, you say

“it may have been a dream”

so full of dicy-play romancing

but I was sure it was so true

for those rodents sure were dancing


And singing songs

with buck teeth clicks

and melody swam like water

they did not give a dam

as I sashayed among them

feet splashing with abandon steps

filled with love and laughter


Yes, indeed the Beavers dance

and sing like herald angels

waltzing with pride at their success

another waterway saved with glory

a habitat, a haven, to live and love

and laugh

a sharp teeth singing laugh

dance on, dance on

Spring has just begun!
