 A Greeting after Winter Darkness


How lovely to see the moon tonight

so full, so yellow-white, so bright

Against the very very black sky

way up above, so very high


So good to see you Luna Dear

with April Magic coming near

When you shall visit in the day

and hide the sunshine as in play


some see it as mischievous love

making shadows from above

dear moon crosses the earth

with a dark smile of lunar mirth


Our home we see this special day

the moon’s dark side the other way

we know now deep within our heart

the solar system’s mystical art
