Twirlling Life
The Circle Dance
We joined the dancing girl
twirling twirling n’er to fall
the one who danced for us all
for dreamers, realists too
lovers, yes, short and tall
dancing dancing for us all
desires, fears, strong hearts
maimed and healed, frail souls too
so much so much the twirling does do
All in and of life, she dances for
we hear, and join to sing that song
twirling twirling right along
the spinning never seems to stop
She does dance, and so does he
he and she are you and me
night and day like the world we’re on
we dance with the moon and to the sun
spin away the sorrow, recall the fun
Do not stop even in your dreams
for our only life we have is here
dancing close and dancing dear
spinning slow or spinning fast
never ever stop the loving dance
we live by grace we live by chance
Cruel humans try to halt the flow
against life forces they cannot grow
may our tender true dance of passion
push evil violence out out of fashion
holding hands, for each other caring
stops the vicious acts with daring
The Earth turns yearly round the sun
a distance that we see in seasons
Our planet turns in circles each day
and tilts with seasons as if to play
each of us aids the flow of life to give
seasons grow, rest, each life to fully live
