For I am working on a piece

of children and piglets

never quite catching the flight

of the happiness I want to shine a light

in the eyes of hoglet and the kidlets

that porky pie sweet is my green go light

and then I read on crazy Facebook

It is Your Birthday today!


Your angel with the smiling face

and the porcine heart

brings to me a joyous note

of the splendor your art departs

you make the farmyard home again

the fallow fields we hope to sow

in art, and their make wonder grow

Happy Birthday you sweet soul

I see you so very little

in this crazy world in which we live

trying to keep in tune our fiddle

only sawing and plucking the bow of life

and artist friends like you do not diddle

maybe doodling a song or two

like this one I sing (and play) for you

Leonardo could paint you

as a Mona Lisa Madonna

for the love you bring us all

and now that crazy song, bouncing along
