Alma's 88th
Blessed 88th Alma
💕
Oh, Alma dear, sweet sister dear
you may no longer live life here
but in our hearts and minds
we know that up above you, can you hear
like a flower blossom filling us with Cheer
John, Ruth, Judy and me too
found you held the family with loving glue
as our father flew away to heaven so blue
you were our little mother, I say it so true
Not only did Alma comfort Momma dear
who was wracked with sorrow and fear
to care for us overcome with sorrow so drear
She stepped up to keep our hearts clear
Oh, Alma you were indeed baby sitter
yes it is true, not just our big sister
keeping us in line, soothing the pain, a blister
Alma changed confusion into love and laughter
Oh, I was just the you tyke, a baby boy
just beginning to find life playing with a toy
you gave us solace, with the hope called joy
teaching that life goes on, death cannot destroy
And then when I was in 2nd grade I recall
you met this wild crazy guy called Paul
running away to Florida to put a ring on it all
married you, like dancing at a beautiful ball
A champion you remained for us so true
Alma, what we we do without you?
And then you moved to Felton, in ol’ Delaware
family grew as you bore 3 fine guys w/lovin’ care
to Virginia still keeping us in your heart and mind
a love to this day remains so joyous, so refined
So Happy Birthday Number 88, for you love is still that great!
We love you Alma, Ruth and John have joined you, and maybe we too: Please Wait!
💗 Love, Jim and Judy too, for we every day love you! 💗

brought the morning milk and Alma, John & Ruth to our 2-room School
A big part of our childhood too, when we moved to town
on the other side of the plant!
